Vitra and Kale soon to start up production in Russia

21/03/07 Two of the leading Turkish ceramic tile manufacturers, Kale and Vitra, are embarking on production investments in Russia.

The Kale Group, one of the world’s leading ceramic tile manufacturers with an annual production of 62 million sq.m, recently purchased the land for a production facility near Moscow. The building work is expected to take about two years.

The Ecsacibasi group, which includes Vitra, is already involved in two major investments in Russia. A new plant for sanitaryware will start production at the end of this year in Serpikov (150 km from Moscow) and a ceramic tile line will be started up in 2009.
