Two complete SACMI lines installed by Formigrês Group

The Brazilian ceramic group boosts innovation, focusing on high productivity, energy efficiency and premium quality in the segment of large red body tiles. The project yields an additional capacity of more than 1.2 million m²/month.

The Formigrês Group (Santa Gertrudes, Brazil) continues to grow and modernize with the sequential installation of two new complete Sacmi production lines for floor tiles and large red body tiles. This crucial investment strengthens a long-standing partnership, demonstrating the Brazilian company's confidence in Sacmi’s high-productivity, energy-efficient technologies.

At the heart of the new 2025/2026 line lies the Sacmi Maestro FMA 355 kiln, designed for the high-capacity production of large tiles. With a 3.55-meter wide inlet, a total length of 273 meters and an output rate of over 30,000 kg/h of fired product, the kiln combines cutting-edge heat recovery and modulated air-gas combustion systems to maximize energy efficiency, continuity and process stability.

The kiln is fed by three Sacmi PHC 8200 RED Edition presses operating in parallel, a configuration that guarantees continuous operation and optimized production flows. The PHC 8200 RED Edition presses - up to 20% faster than traditional presses - feature SPE Plana technology to allow the manufacture of thin yet high-performance surfaces. This set-up can be used to make slabs that are 6, 7 or 8 mm thick, in line with the latest design, sustainability and industrial efficiency trends.

With this project, the Formigrês Group aims to raise productivity, quality and competitiveness while simultaneously reducing operating costs. The investment will also significantly expand the company's production portfolio, extending the size range from 73x73 cm to 120x120 cm; what’s more, the additional installed capacity exceeds 1.2 million m² per month.

This order reinforces Sacmi's role as a leading partner on the Brazilian ceramic manufacturing market. Offering a perfect balance of premium quality, technological innovation and environmental awareness, the Formigrês Group project is perfectly in keeping with Sacmi easyFactory principles, which aim to deliver high-added-value solutions on all the major global markets.
