Edilians Group finalises the acquisition of Cotto Possagno
Edilians has acquired a clay roof tile producer with over 150 employees and annual revenue of approximately €40 million, backed by more than two centuries of manufacturing expertise.
On 2 April, French group Edilians completed its previously announced acquisition of Industrie Cotto Possagno, a long-established Italian manufacturer of clay roof tiles chaired by Alessandro Vardanega.
The acquisition forms part of Edilians’ international growth strategy. One of Europe’s leading specialists in building envelope construction and renovation, the group already operates in France, Spain and Portugal and has 1,700 employees, 17 production sites and a portfolio of four brands.
Cotto Possagno brings more than 150 employees and annual revenue of approximately €40 million, along with a strong market presence built on more than two centuries of manufacturing expertise. The company combines a long manufacturing tradition with a broad product portfolio and direct control of the entire supply chain, backed by four company-owned quarries and four main production lines. While becoming part of an international group, Industrie Cotto Possagno will retain its strong local identity.
“This transaction represents a major opportunity for Industrie Cotto Possagno: we are joining a solid group with an international outlook, with whom we share fundamental values such as quality, manufacturing tradition, and a commitment to sustainability,” stated Alessandro Vardanega, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Industrie Cotto Possagno. “We are confident that this integration will enable us to further strengthen our presence in the Italian market and accelerate our development in export markets, while preserving our identity and local expertise.”
“Cotto Possagno’s deep local roots and the team’s expertise will be fully valued and further developed.
Our integration plan will focus particularly on occupational health and safety and decarbonisation, two cornerstones of Edilians Group’s culture,” added Pascal Casanova, Chairman of Edilians Group.
