Ceramitec experiences downturn

Ceramitec, the German exhibition of supplies to the ceramic industry, has been badly hit by the international economic crisis. The four halls in the Munich exhibition centre saw a 32% fall in the number of visitors, although attendance remained strongly international with more than 60% of the 15,000 visitors coming from 90 different foreign countries.

A total of 656 exhibiting companies from 35 countries took part, representing mainly the fields of technical ceramics and clay products.
