WBB strengthens its presence in Spain
The company aims to offset the fall in demand for local red clays with an increase in imports of white clays, mainly from Ukraine, England and Germany.
According to the company’s sources, the Spanish market has contracted by 4% overall but the use of white clays has increased by 27% in spite of their high cost (60 euro/ton compared to 10 euro/ton for red clays). Consumption of red clay on the other hand has fallen by 11%.
