Vitra Eczacibasi starts up new plant in Ireland

30/06/03 -A new plant belonging to the Turkish Group Vitra Eczacibasi is scheduled to begin production at the end of the year in Wicklow (Ireland).
The new plant joins the existing one located just 20 km away and will expand the production of wall tiles and trim pieces, marketed mainly in the UK.
Vitra Eczacibasi is the second-largest tile producer in Turkey and the leading sanitaryware manufacturer with an output of 3.5 million pieces/year.
With the investment in Ireland, the company became the first Turkish manufacturer to have a plant abroad and the only tile manufacturer in Ireland.
