A new state-of-the-art plant for Argilux

This is the most advanced and complete line built by Meccanica 2P in Marocco, an operation that further strengthening its position in the North African market.

Meccanica 2P has reached another milestone in its international expansion strategy with the supply of a latest-generation plant to Argilux, a leading Moroccan brick manufacturer. This is the most advanced and complete line the Italian company has ever installed in the country, further strengthening its position in the North African market.

Technology and innovation for the production process

The new plant includes a latest-generation cutting line capable of performing precise, uniform cuts across all brick formats, a loading line with pusher system designed to maximise production efficiency, and a rapid tunnel dryer developed in collaboration with the South American company Saracco y CIA, a partner of Meccanica 2P for more than twenty years. This innovative system ensures optimal drying while significantly reducing processing times. The line also features a continuous dryer unloader to ensure constant and highly efficient operation.

Reliability and support

Every Meccanica 2P plant undergoes rigorous empty-load testing at the company’s headquarters prior to shipment to facilitate and speed up on-site assembly and ensure the highest levels of performance. The commissioning phase is supervised directly at the customer’s facility by Meccanica 2P technicians to ensure smooth and efficient installation. The plant is also equipped with a PLC system with remote assistance capability for rapid intervention in the event of stoppages or faults.

Strategy and future outlook

The Argilux project marks another step forward in Meccanica 2P’s expansion strategy, particularly in the North African market where the company has already installed industrial automation solutions for the brick industry in Algeria and Tunisia. Saracco y CIA’s rapid dryer technology is already well established in South America with more than 50 plants in operation, but this is the first time it has been adopted in an African facility. By ensuring efficient drying and significantly shorter processing times, this innovative system offers manufacturers a significant competitive advantage.

Italian excellence in the brick industry

The plant supplied to Argilux testifies to the quality, reliability and innovation of Meccanica 2P’s technological solutions, which continue to meet the needs of a rapidly expanding market. Thanks to its longstanding experience and the continued trust of its customers, the company brings Italian know-how to major production hubs around the world, consolidating its role as a global leader in the field of automation for the brick industry.
