Innovation and creativity at Tecnargilla 2006

07/08/06 - Innovation and creativity will be the hallmarks of the twentieth Tecnargilla, the international exhibition of ceramic technologies that will be held in Rimini from 28 September to 2 October. With a gross exhibition space of 90,000 square metres, 7,000 square metres more than in 2004, the show will host more than 800 exhibitors from all over the world and over 30,000 visitors are expected. Over the last five editions, from 1995 to 2004, Tecnargilla has grown by 124% in terms of exhibition space and 60.6% in terms of attendance. “Tecnargilla is the ultimate showcase of innovation, where the new products on display feature both technology and research,” explained Acimac chairman Pierluigi Ponzoni. “The combination of quality and the utmost attention to customers’ requirements is one of the most effective formulas for success in global markets.” Attention will be focused on the new technological proposals for tile production, solutions designed above all to reduce production costs and enhance plant flexibility, with special emphasis on large formats.

Kermat, the section devoted to advanced ceramic products, will be making its debut this year.
The section will feature raw materials, components and semi-finished products, special ceramic articles and concrete examples of their applications, as well as technological processes, control instruments and plants for the production of nanoceramic materials.
Claytech will be back with more than 80 exhibitors representing the heavy clay technology sector. Trends, colour and fashion will again be explored at Kromatech, the area devoted to creativity in the ceramic industry which doubles its exhibit space this year.

The purpose of the numerous Ceramic Workshop events is to provide fresh ideas and stimuli for new fields of application of ceramic in the homes and cities of the future. The show will also host the fourth Ceramic TTD – Technology Transfer Day on ceramic materials, processes and plant devoted to scientific research and technology transfer.
