Gardenia Orchidea installs new double fired tile line

08/07/04 - As part of newly launched restructuring programme, the Gardenia Orchidea Group has purchased a new double fired tile production line from the Barbieri & Tarozzi Group, with start-up scheduled for September 2004.

The supply contract comprises a storage line consisting of latest-generation bi-box machines with glazed product management on boxes and bisque product on pallets. The entirely laser-guided handling system allows the production stages to be performed with the utmost efficiency and flexibility, as requested by the customer.

The supply contract additionally includes three Smart Line sorting lines with palletiser and control and management software applications to guarantee quality, efficiency and performance of the entire production process as well as quick and easy maintenance.

The line will have a capacity of 6500 square metres a day and will be devoted to the production of double fired tile in medium/small sizes(15x15 cm, 16.5x16.5 cm, 20x20 cm, etc.).
