Everything is set for Coverings 2026
On March 30, the curtain rises on the 36th edition of Coverings in Las Vegas. The exhibition will host over 730 exhibitors from 36 countries. In the tile segment, the pavilions of Italy, Spain, and the United States stand out. Last year the 3 countries together accounted for more than 55% of the total U.S. ceramic tile consumption.
Coverings, the most important international trade show in North America dedicated to ceramic surfaces and natural stone, returns to Las Vegas, Nevada, four years after the last edition held here. For four days, from March 30 to April 2, the Las Vegas Convention Center will bring together the global industry community, confirming itself as a key event for distributors, architects, designers, and real estate developers seeking advanced surface solutions. It will also be the ideal setting for ceramic manufacturers to assess market trends this year, following two years of declining demand.
The international scope of the exhibition
The 36th edition of Coverings once again confirms the exceptionally high level of international participation among exhibitors, justified by the fact that the United States— the world’s largest importer of ceramic tiles — is one of the most competitive markets globally.
Across all exhibition sectors — ceramics, natural stone, installation systems, marble processing machinery, and tile manufacturing equipment — Coverings hosts a total of 733 exhibitors from 36 countries, occupying the North Hall and Central Hall of the exhibition center. Italy is the most represented foreign country, with 127 exhibitors, including 50 in the tile segment and 8 grouped in the ITA/Acimac collective for ceramic machinery (#7432). Italy is followed by Spain, Brazil, Turkey, and India.
Focusing specifically on ceramic tiles, the main attractions are once again the three major national pavilions: Tile Council of North America, Tile of Spain, and Ceramics of Italy.
The North American pavilion, organized by TCNA in the Central Hall, brings together 80 exhibitors from the United States, Canada, and Mexico. In the tile segment, this includes companies owned by Italian groups — Landmark, Panariagroup USA, Stonepeak, Florim USA — as well as Portobello USA, Wonder Porcelain, Roca Lamosa, Vitromex, Crossville, and Canada’s Anatolia.
Organized by Confindustria Ceramica, the Italian Pavilion, located in the North Hall, hosts more than 50 Italian ceramic brands gathered around the Ceramics of Italy booth (#1345), a traditional meeting point for industry professionals and visitors.
The North Hall also hosts the Spanish Pavilion, organized by Ascer and Icex, featuring 58 exhibitors. At the center of the area, the Tile of Spain booth (#645) will showcase Spanish culture and hospitality, while offering a series of events, talks, presentations, and live podcasts on trends and design. Key events at the Tile of Spain stand include the press conference scheduled for March 30 at 2:30 pm and the “Tile of Spain Honors” networking event (March 31, 4:00 pm), celebrating the strong and longstanding partnership between the Spanish ceramic industry and the U.S. market.
Also in the North Hall are the collective area organized by Anfacer, bringing together nine Brazilian manufacturers, and, adjacent to it, the area occupied by Turkish tile producers represented by Turkishceramics. Finally, India will be present at Coverings with 13 tile manufacturing companies.
Italy and Spain strengthen their position in the U.S.
In 2025, the U.S. ceramic tile market continued to operate in a challenging environment, affected by tariff tensions and weak demand, particularly due to the slowdown in construction activity, especially in the residential sector.

According to Tile Council of North America data, based on the first 11 months of the year, domestic tile consumption in 2025 is estimated at 240.3 million square meters, down 4.2% compared to 2024.
Domestic production was the segment most affected by the downturn, with sales on the domestic market declining by 8.6% between January and November, covering 27.5% of national demand.
During the same period, imports — accounting for 72.5% of consumption — fell by 2.4% to 159.7 million square meters, driven mainly by the strong performance of Spain and Italy. Undoubtedly, the two European countries were the key players in the U.S. market in 2025, both managing to increase sales despite shrinking demand, further strengthening their respective market shares in both volume and value compared to other exporting countries.
In the first 11 months of the year, Spain returned to being the leading exporter to the United States in terms of volume (34.1 million square meters; +16.4%), with a 21.4% share of U.S. imports. Italy ranked second (28.3 million square meters; +8.6%) with a 17.7% share.
In terms of import value (including CIF and duties), the positions are reversed, with Italy remaining the undisputed leader with a 31.5% share of U.S. imports, followed by Spain with 28%.
