Ernesto Grillenzoni dies

09/09/03 - Ernesto Grillenzoni, managing director of the Colorveggia Reire Group, died on Sunday night at the age of just 50 after a long illness. A graduate in chemical engineering, he joined the Group in 1979 and became the driving force behind the Group's growth.
In the space of 25 years he transformed a colour firm that principally manufactured ceramic frits for other glaze and colour manufacturers into a modern manufacturing organisation with a turnover of 25 million euro.
The Group recently gained quality certification and in February began production in the new spray-dried glaze factory with a covered area of 2,500 sq.m. In spite of his illness, Grillenzoni supervised the work personally.
