The third edition of “Ceramica di Valore” (“Ceramics of Value”), the annual technical conference organised by Ceramic World Review and CeramicWorldWeb in collaboration with ACIMAC and aimed at professionals from Italy’s ceramic surface manufacturing industry, will be back on Wednesday 19 November in the RMH Modena Des Arts Hotel in Baggiovara (Modena).
This year’s conference once again provides an intensive afternoon of discussions exploring the value of ceramic products and the ways in which technologies and materials can help to enhance this value by improving aesthetics, technical quality, sustainability and overall process efficiency.
These themes will be discussed in the 9 technical presentations to be given by leading companies: BMR and Italvision, Colorobbia, Inter Ser and I-Tech, LB Technology, Sacmi, Sicer, Smalticeram, Smaltochimica and System Ceramics.

SUSTAINABILITY AND EFFICIENCY: NOW ESSENTIAL GOALS
Improving sustainability of processes and products without sacrificing quality will be the central theme of the presentations given by LB and Smaltochimica, the first devoted to dry body preparation and the second to a new range of chemical additives developed using recycled raw materials.
The production of lower quantities of waste and scrap is one of the direct benefits of improved process efficiency. These aspects will be explored in the presentation by BMR and Italvision on the “Digital and Sustainable Factory” combining mechanics, electronics and artificial vision and the one by I-Tech and Inter Ser on new automated ink and glaze distribution systems.

NEW FRONTIERS OF AESTHETIC EXCELLENCE
One of the most important ways of increasing the value of Italian ceramics is undoubtedly through surface aesthetic innovation, a field of research in which companies are continuing to push boundaries to maintain a competitive edge over their rivals. In this context, presentations will be given by three major glaze and colour producers (Colorobbia, Sicer and Smalticeram) and the leading suppliers of digital decoration technologies (Sacmi and System Ceramics). These innovative materials and application technologies are contributing to the creation of unique and original ceramic designs that faithfully reproduce the reliefs and structures of natural materials through multiple applications, achieving the highest levels of aesthetic quality.
The conference will conclude with a presentation by Stefano Lugli (ACIMAC) illustrating the provisions of Italy’s new Budget Law currently under discussion in parliament, which reintroduces the hyper-amortisation tax incentive scheme to support capital goods investments in line with the principles of Industry 4.0 and 5.0.
With its high-quality, comprehensive content, the conference will appeal to a wide cross-section of professionals from ceramic manufacturing companies, including product development managers, laboratory technicians, technical directors, plant managers, energy managers and owners. It will also be of interest to supply chain professionals keen to learn more about the latest advances in technological research.
The conference will be held in Italian. Admission is free of charge after registration using the online form.
