Acimac goes to Russia and Iran
Russia, which currently produces about 70 million square metres of tiles a year (compared to 25 million square metres in 1999), will be hosting the course “The ceramic tile production process: applied technologies and innovative developments” in Moscow from 26 to 30 January.
More than 60 technicians from the leading Russian ceramic companies will attend the lessons held by Prof. Paolo Zannini, lecturer at the University of Modena, and Giuliano Guerrieri, which will cover all stages of the production process, from raw materials preparation to packaging of the finished tiles.
As customary, the last day will be devoted to the workshop, during which 9 Italian ceramic plant and machinery manufacturers (Sacmi, Barbieri & Tarozzi, System, Siti, Gape Due, Euromeccanica, Surface Inspection, Novaref, Diemme) will have the opportunity to present their latest technological innovations to the Russian technicians.
The course in Iran, the world’s ninth largest tile producing country with an output of about 105 million square metres (compared to 60 million square metres in 1999), will be held in Teheran from 16 to 19 February. It will explore the theme of “New technological developments in the grinding, pressing and tile firing processes”. The course tutors will be Gianfranco Carnevali and Giuliano Guerrieri. This course will likewise finish with a workshop, attended by companies including Sacmi, Barbieri & Tarozzi, Gape Due, Surface Inspection, Mass and Meca. Here too, the representatives of the Italian companies will have the opportunity to showcase their technologies relevant to the subjects covered by the course.
